Abstract
The point machine controller board is part of a wayside equipment control system
whose safe and secure operation plays an important role in the safety of the
movement of trains and their movement between rail lines and the safety of
passengers' lives. These boards in Iran are produced only by MAHARAN
Company, which are modeled from similar foreign ones. On the lines of Tehran
Metro the boards of two companies, MAHARAN (lines 3 and 4), and a Swedish
company called Bombardier (lines 1, 2, 7) are used. The simulated board in this
thesis is based on the boards used in Tehran metro line 7 and the type of three phase and seven-wire Point machine. Also, possible errors in the hardware of the
circuit designed by the preliminary risk analysis method have been reviewed and
necessary corrections have been made. To assess the degree of immunity,
reliability was calculated by block diagram and safety level according to
IEC610508 standard, which led to the safety level 2. Also, for performance
measurement, the circuit has been simulated in different states, which resulted in
the expected results.
