Abstract:
Nowadays, supply chains are subject to variable internal and environmental conditions that cause multiple disruption. Therefore, supply chain management must move towards new approaches for resisting in front of potential disruptions. Therefore, the present study, considering the role of agro-food on community health, has studied the resilience supply chain in a spice importing company. For the first time the issue of importing turmeric finger has received a great deal of attention in this research. With an integrated view at supply chain, design has also taken decisions for supplier selection, inventory planning and transportation planning. Modeling of this problem under uncertainty based on two-stage scenario-based stochastic programming. Due to high importance of the agro-food supply chains the Max-Min robust approach has also been used to plan for the worst case and finally, the results of both approaches are examined and compared. Since the basic purpose of the agro-food supply chain is the availability of agro-food to people in all circumstances, Lack of resiliency measured by the amount of unsatisfied demand or the same amount of shortage that means that with decreasing the shortage, supply chain resiliency will increase. In addition to the integrity of making decision and the use of stochastic and robust optimization, measures to enhance supply chain resilience such as reliability inventory and the possibility of using a backup supplier have been explored. According to model features which include two objective functions of maximizing profit and increasing the resiliency of the supply chain and with the results obtained from real case study data, the sensitivity analysis, model evaluation and solution approach have been addressed. The results obtained from the stochastic model are more desirable than robust optimization. However, according to the result of robust model it is assured that the model will also have an acceptable response even in the worst condition. The results of the case study indicate the important role of back up supplier and maintaining reliability inventory for increasing resiliency of supply chain. Among the parameters of the problem, the most sensitivity is related to sale price and supplier capacities.
