Abstract:
The continuity of system activity depends on the availability of their spare parts. On the other hand, different criteria make the difference between spare parts and the use of an inventory control policy for all of them is not rational and will impose additional costs on the system. Therefore, spare part inventory classification with the goal of providing inventory policies in accordance with their various features in order to prevent system shutdown is necessary.
Due to the economic sanctions imposed on Iran, international relations between contractors and suppliers of spare parts abroad are subject to restrictions on discontinuation of cooperation, increase in the delivery time of parts, increase in the prices of items. To overcome these limitations, various supply criteria should be considered in the spare part inventory classification. On the other hand, these sanctions impose uncertainty on the data of categorization criteria for this type of items. Therefore, economic sanctions have involved supply criteria in the categorization of spare parts as well as the consideration of uncertainty in the model. Articles in this area rarely deal with uncertainty in inventory classification.
Recently, data Envelopment analysis methods have been considered by the researchers as a powerful tool for inventory classification. These methods do not require mental judgment by decision makers to determine the weight of the inventory classification indices. Because of that, it facilitates the process of inventory classification for managers in this field.
In this research, we intend to analyse spare part classification with consideration of supply under Iran sanctions. In this regard, the first different supply criteria and their effects on the classification shall be identified. Afterward, with consideration of these criteria different models of Data Envelopment Analysis will be compared and at the end a model for spare part classification will be provided in certain and uncertain situation.
