Complex of Sheikh Ahmad Jam in the city of Torbat-Jam, which is the result of developments of various historical periods, includes several works of the Saljughi, Al-Kurt, Timurid, Safavid, and Qajarites periods. On this shrine, architectural elements are formed around a vast central courtyard. The most prominent and magnificent architectural spaces of this place are located in the vicinity of the shrine, including the dome, the porch, the kermaniha mosque, the white dome and the green dome, the entrance, the Atiq mosque, the Jame mosque, the yard mosque (summer and winter), the Cistern, Firooz Shahi School, and the entrance hall. The most important damage to this building is the ascending and descending humidity and incorrect repairs of previous periods. At the same time, physical protection alone cannot protect the historical location from injuries; in order to eliminate threatening factors in a comprehensive way and to take into account the damage occurring throughout the life of the historical complex, over time, the need for conservation planning and provide a management plan.
In this research, information was collected using library and field studies and processed by content analysis method. In cases where there was not enough evidence, field observations were made, and in order to complete the information in connection with the collection, oral history was sought out from old residents and experts. In different stages of research, knowledge of the natural environment, recognition of values, recognition of construction periods, review of laws and regulations, and periods of restoration of the complex in terms of architecture and technology was carried out.
As a result, the organization and restoration of damages are presented in the form of executive maintenance details and management plan with the aim of preserving, introducing and promoting the values and the importance of the historical-cultural landscape of the complex. Therefore, the results obtained in the management plan by following the strategies of conservation and stability of artificial and environmental heritage, tourism development, introduction, training, conservation, participation, monitoring and documentation with specific policies and programs, over time (short Term, medium-term and long-term) through the devices and organs responsible.
