In every small and large company, it is now a well-known fact that business processes are a primary asset, which can directly affect their products and in particular, their services. As companies grow larger, their business processes become more complex and consequently management and control of such processes becomes more crucial. Consequently, applying novel approaches such as business process management is essential due to its direct effect on profitability. Although business process management is an important organizational factor for performance improvement, research shows that 60-80% of the related projects lead to failure. To ensure successful implementation of BPM, it is necessary to have complete – and reduce the probability of failure by taking into account the factors which lead to successful implementation as well as the status of your organization. The main goal of this research is to provide a framework for evaluating various units of Tehran University with regard to their readiness for implementing business process management. In this regard, the key factors of readiness are first identified and then their impact is evaluated with DE-MATEL method. These indicators were then prioritized by ANP method and on in this priority, factors related to senior management team, alignment with strategy, organizational culture and people were identified as the most important factors. Finally, the readiness of the 6 deputies of the University of Tehran was calculated by the ARAS method and the readiness of each was obtained.
