در اين پايان‌نامه، يك فيلتر اينترديجيتال را كه عموماً به‌صورت صفحه‌اي طراحي مي‌شود؛ به‌صورت چندلايه در يك زير لايه‌ي تلفاتي تحقق داديم. در ابتدا زيرلايه را بدون تلف فرض كرديم و فيلتر را با مشخصات موردنظر طراحي كرديم؛ سپس تلفات زيرلايه را افزوديم و براي جبران اثرات مخرب آن روي مشخصه‌هاي فيلتر، با فعال كردن فيلتر از طريق كوپل مقاومت منفي، به جبران تلفات سه رزوناتور پرتلف آن پرداختيم. با اين عمل از اثر تلفات بر مشخصه‌هاي فيلتر طراحي‌شده كاستيم و آن‌ها را به مشخصه‌هاي مطلوب فيلتر طراحي‌شده با فرض عدم وجود تلفات، نزديك كرديم. اگرچه تلفات بازگشتي در فركانس‌هايي بيشتر از حد انتظار شد.

Design of a Multi-layer Active Microwave Filter

In this thesis, a multilayer interdigital filter was designed in a lossy substrate assuming that the substrate is loss less. Then the loss of the substrate was modeled by Debye model; filter characteristics like filter's ripple in passband, places of the poles and signal transmission in poles of the filter were changed undesirably. To compensate losses and these effects, three of filter's resonators were activated by coupling of negative resistances. Two negative resistances were produced by two transistors and then were coupled to the middle resonators of the filter through a specific coupling structure. In this way, we could decrease some of destructive effects of substrate loss on filter's characteristics. However, in some frequencies, S11 rises which is undesirable.
