According to published information and statistics, cars are one of the most important sources of emissions production and fossil fuels consumption. Along with the development of technologies in automotives production and transportation policies making, timely replacement of parts is one of the factors that have a significant impact on car fuel consumption and pollutant production. Considering the long life of cars traveling in the country, investigating the impact of automobile parts wearing on fuel consumption is one of the important issues in the automotive industry in the country.
In this project, a number of parameters of the car's power transmission system such as the engine oil, tire and clutch plate were examined, considering their significant impact on vehicle performance.
In this project, the effect of wear on fuel consumption of Samand EF7-TC national engine with using the models of wear and the effect of parameter changes on vehicle performance in one-dimensional simulation in GT_POWER software environment in NEDC, WLTC and TEHRAN driving cycles were studied.
In order to model the phenomenon of wear, the parameters changed in the three models of wear (new, semi-worn and completely worn) compared to the new, were applied as coefficients on the characteristics of the new vehicle; The Fmep of the engine, the tire rolling resistance coefficient and the maximum torque of clutch plate and mechanical output from the engine and the input to the gearbox were applied.
The results showed that with increasing engine oil and clutch plate wear, car fuel consumption increased and with increasing the working rate of the tire, car fuel consumption decreased.
