Academic environments, along with educational and specialized functions, are the place of social interaction, communication and community-based activities, which is a significant part of their time in public spaces, open spaces and academic open spaces. Special attention to closed environments and insufficient attention to the functions of open environments in educational environments has underscored the potential of open environments and the quality of open university design. The researchers have considered the functionalism of the modern era to be a neglect of the social and cultural aspects of public spaces. Investigations conducted specifically on open spaces also indicate that the design of sites and campuses focused on closed spaces and buildings, and open spaces were less of a concern for designers and design quality criteria for them. Since, based on researches, the quality of designing public spaces has been effective on collective interactions and can have the desired effects on the quality of social communication, and on the other hand, considering the field of design, the necessities of designing such spaces. Therefore, the recognition and explanation of the physical indicators that influence the quality of social interactions in open university environments is the main approach of this research. In other words, this research seeks to identify and assess the impact of spatial indicators in open spaces on the promotion of social capital, such as goodwill, social trust, social cohesion, participation, and so on. Individuals communicate social behaviors, values, and norms through social relationships and interactions. It is these behaviors and values that provide the ground for people's social upbringing. The sociological view also suggests that socialization means the person's alignment with values and norms to co-ordinate with other people in society.
The purpose of this research is to achieve the physical indicators that these indicators as tools at the hands of designers and architects can enhance social capital in open social spaces. The methodology of this research is a combined methodology and the process of conducting this research will be carried out in several main steps, namely, the study of subject literature and the categorization of indicators, the choice of methodology of research, the analysis and evaluation, the conclusions of the research findings and conclusions. Three main techniques are used to analyze and evaluate data. Structural Equation Modeling, Delphi-Fuzzy Method and Exploratory Factor Analysis of the three techniques used in the analysis of collected data. The questionnaire will be the main tool for collecting data in the process of doing this research.
The results of the study confirm the structural model of the findings of the research background that relates subjective and latent variables of socialization and social capital through observable and measurable indicators in the case study (open spaces of Bu-Ali Sina University of Hamadan). The goodness of fit of the model indicates the validity of the structural model which was explained to increase the accuracy of the structural model and reduce the error rate of the reduced model. The reduced model is obtained by reducing the objective indicators of lower factor socializability. The reduced indices are prioritized in the Delphi-Fuzzy method section and finally through exploratory factor analysis leading to the identification, interpretation and naming of the five factors "spatial connectivity", "pedestrian inviting", "outdoor furniture", "quality has become presentable" and "visual desirable.".
