Inspired by natural metaphors such as holographic brain or art ones such as theater, organizations have created and employed new definitions in their organizational and managerial approaches. Yet these approaches are all one-directional where organizations play the receiver role. Now, this question is raised here that considering the fundamental commonalities between an organization and a play, particularly a play script, why not draw on organizational and managerial theories for analyzing drama works? In other words, using these theories, a new perspective called “Management-oriented Criticism” can be introduced to the drama world. Therefore, in this study, using the Attribution Theory and Situational Leadership Model, a framework for Management-oriented Criticism is proposed and explained as a literary theory, based on which three plays of Shakespeare, namely Macbeth, King Lear and Julius Caesar are analyzed. The methodology used for this case study is qualitative. Regarding Management-oriented Criticism as a subcategory of documentary criticism, and regarding objective criticism together with Management-oriented Criticism as a new critical approach are amongst the primary conclusions of this study. The Management-oriented Criticism can also be used in post-structural criticism. Moreover, the analysis of plays based on the said models indicates how mismanagement or Hamartia of Duncan, Lear and Caesar can lead to destruction of these individuals and their organizations.
