increasing installation of distributed generation resources in electrical power systems has caused problems to hold coordination between protection equipments in distribution networks - due to the amount of current Distributed Generators share. In this study, with the aim of saving fuses in transient faults, the effect of creating a new characteristic curve for fast operation of Reclosers was studied by considering the effect of voltage at the Recloser location when a fault occurs. For this, in order to validate, first, various faults of three-phase, two-phase and single-phase in 14 points of a reference network along with 3 locations for the distributed generation units were investigated. Then, to create the new characteristic curve, a new part which was depended to voltage was added to the Time-Current curve. and the performance of the new characteristic curve was compared with the previous characteristic curve. Finally, to perform the proposed method on a real distribution network from Tehran province network in 12 different points and various faults of three-phase, two-phase and single-phase, in 5 scenarios, tested and compared with conventional methods and other proposed methods. And eventually It has shown that the proposed method could successfully keep the coordination between the Recloser and the fuses in 41 cases. The present study was performed using DPL and DSL programming of DigSILENT PowerFactory software.
