The oxide/metal/oxide sandwich method is one of the ways for study the oxidation of the melts. To prepare the oxide / metal / oxide sandwich samples, a sand muscle was inserted into the melt and the melt and films formed on the muscle were examined. In Investigating system Cu-Al-O thermodynamics was observed, At oxygen pressures below 10-27 oxidation does not begin. As oxygen pressure increased, phases Cu2O, CuO, Al2O3, and Cu2Al2O4 appeared. The characteristics of the copper-aluminum alloy oxide films and effect of adding different amounts of Aluminum (Cu-8%Al, Cu-12%Al and Cu-15%Al) on them, including their morphology and thickness, were investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS). In the morphology of the oxide films on the specimens, wrinkles, cracks, and the phenomenon of tubular and warping phenomena and spalling oxide layer, are visible. By adding the percentage of aluminum element to the copper-aluminum alloy, the wrinkles and oxide folds become more and more violent and larger. The thickness of the oxide film for copper-aluminum alloys was estimated from 322 nm to 2488 nm. With the addition of aluminum, the thickness of the copper oxide film increases.
