Direction finding is unnoticeable component in satellite communications, should be optimally presented which In this thesis, We propose a method based on Time Modulated Linear Array(TMLA) for direction finding of coherent signal sources.The signals’directions of arrival are calculated using the spectral characteristics of signals after the time modulation.Signals harmonics are instantly produced at each element because of the periodic modulation. After the mixer,the harmonic components of the signals are function of the angle of arrivals.We then calculate the angle of arrivals by solving the non-linear equations numerically(Newton-Raphson Method).The proposed method has two advantages compare to the other techniques:it needs only one RF channel and also provides high precision using time modulation. this thesis tried to introduction of general method of Time Modulated Array and history of researching, then introduction of direction finding method by Time Modulated Array with coherent sources to be presented and for obtaining high resolution, solutions should be tested by many times under different conditions like number of elements Array , number of coherent sources , effect of different SNR , effect of Incident Angles , and comparison of Proposed Method with another methods that shows high resolution with accuracy of under 0.1 Degree. At the end surveyed resuts and conclusions.
