Given the many uncertainties that exist in the project environment, the use of risk management in large and complex projects, which increases the likelihood of achieving project goals, is a necessity. In this regard, one of the factors that is very important in the risk management process is to identify the risks associated with the project with the design approach of risk failure structure. One of the types of contracts used in the implementation of projects is the method of engineering, procurement and construction or EPC for short. In this type of contract, the contractor company is responsible for engineering, procurement and supply of all equipment and construction and implementation of the project. Taken and done completely. In this method of project implementation, by transferring all project activities, including design, procurement and supply of equipment, construction, testing and installation measures, the employer transfers the risk of this operation to the contractor. As a result, identifying and prioritizing the risks in these projects is very important for contractors in order to properly manage these risks. The purpose of this study is to present a design methodology and create a risk failure structure to manage and evaluate risk for EPC projects in a project-oriented industrial organization such as the University of Science and Technology Jihad. One of the most widely used techniques in the field of risk prioritization is the FMEA technique. In this study, first the main uncertainties related to the mentioned projects were identified, then through their development and with the help of scientific resources and the use of questionnaires and interviews, 39 risks in these types of projects were identified and considering the severity and probability of risk. Risk priority score was determined by FMEA method and an appropriate strategy was adopted to deal with it.
