The effect of bow in the rotor is usually combined with the effects of unbalance. A rotor may bend during the manufacturing, storage, or even service process. This bow phenomenon, like an unbalance, produces a vibrating effect. Thus, the effect of bow and unbalance is combined. Basically, when we do balance, we have to separate the effects of bow and only correct the unbalance. Because the bow can be removed again after the rotor is in service, the rotor bow can be removed again, and this bow removal causes the weight that we put in order to neutralize the bow effect disrupt balancing. In this thesis we examine the behavior of a rotor that has both bow and unbalance. The results of this thesis show how to distinguish the measure of bow and unbalance from vibrational behavior and to separate them from each other so that only the measure of unbalance can be corrected.
