Planning repairs and maintenance of trains in the metro is of particular importance in order to reduce maintenance costs, make more trains available, reduce train delays, and increase people's satisfaction with the rail transportation system. In this study, we use a multi-objective mixed integer linear programming model to schedule the repair and maintenance scheduling of Tehran Metro Line 2 trains. The operational limitations of the model include the length of time for maintenance activities, the time cycles of maintenance activities, the capacity of maintenance crews, and the minimum number of trains available on the line. The model consists of two objective functions, the first objective function tries to maximize the number of maintenance activities and the second objective function tries to send fewer trains to the maintenance unit per day. Next, to solve the problem of scheduling repairs and maintenance of Tehran Metro Line 2 trains, we use the innovative backward algorithm, then according to the results of problem solving and sensitivity analysis, we present the amount of improved traceability
