Abstract:
According to existing archaeological studies and documents, Jame` Mosque or Grand Qazvin, with a dome with a height of 22 meters from the sharp to the ground and a span of 15 meters, It is the oldest congregation mosque in Iran and the city of Qazvin. The Rotunda of this valuable building, has suffered serious structural damage. Therefore, according to the originality of the building, it has been selected as a case study to identify In addition to rooting out the source of the damage, the stability and vulnerability of the simple dome of a Qazvin Grand Mosque to be identified and analyzed. And thus, by reviewing the obtained results, the ground for selecting the proposed restoration plan to protect this valuable historical Rotunda be provided. This building was built in Dabaghan neighborhood, on the western side of the Sepah Street or the current martyrs in Qazvin, by the order of Harun Al-Rasheed, the Abbasid Caliph, and was completed and expanded during the Seljuk period.
The project is written in five chapters. First, in the first chapter, the subject of research is briefly mentioned and then the importance, goals, hypotheses, realm and practical methods of this research are stated.
In the second chapter, definitions, theoretical sources of research and previous research in this field are reviewed and the results of these studies are presented.
In the third chapter, first the research method of the dissertation and the reason for its selection are expressed. Afterwards, the texture and infrastructure around the Great Mosque of Qazvin was introduced and then the structural structure of the simple dome of the Rotunda of the mentioned mosque was introduced. Rotunda maps were also prepared, and the modeling of the building was done after real-scale AutoCAD implementation in SolidWorks software. Then, the mentioned modeling was elementation with the help of Ansys software.
In the fourth chapter in order to simulate structural damage of the Rotunda of The Qazvin Jame` Mosque, (Linear and nonlinear analysis) Computational pathology has been performed with the help of Ansys software and finite element method. And it has been studied in terms of two types of static and modal analysis and the results obtained from the analysis have been mentioned. Also, the pathology of the building has been studied from two traditional and numerical dimensions and the vulnerable and prone points of building failure have been introduced.
In the fifth chapter, according to the obtained results, the proposed restoration plan to remove moisture from the building, strengthen the body and dome abutment, etc. for Consolidation and protection of the historical Rotunda of The Qazvin Jame` Mosque is presented.
Keywords: Finite Element method, Finite Element (Ansys), Three-dimensional documentation, Simple Dome, Restoration plan of the Rotunda of the Qazvin Jame` Mosque.
