Synthetic jet is a new system for various industrial applications that due to its small size and no need for an external fluid source has received attention by researchers. The present dissertation aims to analyze the effect of the “Suction duty cycle factor” (K parameter) on the flow field and heat transfer of the impingement synthetic jet. The synthetic jet simulations have been done in two following sections: Synthetic jet in a quiescent medium and impinging synthetic jet in a quiescent medium.
