Today, with the daily increase in population and development of industries, the demand for energy is growing inevitably. Considering the limitations of fossil fuels resources, their ascending price, and the fact that we have access to a massive free energy source (the sun), in most of the countries, especially the ones that have higher insolation rates overall, utilization of the photovoltaic system is been increasing. In recent years, using the renewable energy sources have been embraced broadly, especially in the railroad transportation industry.
Due to the fact that in a lot of countries like The USA, Russia, China, India, etc. a significant part of the transportation is done by trains, the transportation system is one of the biggest users of energy, therefore, it produces a considerable amount of greenhouse gases.
Referring to research studies conducted in 2010, transportation's proportion in the consumption of energy is 30%.Although photovoltaic systems have lots of advantages, they are relatively expensive; Thus, in order to gain the maximum production capacity, using a control system for determining MPPT is a must. Among all the methods of tracking the maximum power, "P&O" and "INC" methods are more practical and also more common.
In this script, we use the INC method and anticipation control as a function for anticipating the ideal form, to achieve the maximum power. The anticipation control method is one of the up to date methods to achieve the maximum power.
In this method, considering the discrete model of system and the minimization of the amount of cost function, the switching operation will be done. To achieve this goal, the input current of solar sources will be controlled by the anticipation control method, to achieve the reference amounts of maximum power.
