Abstract:
The safety of suburban passages in the axes of Zanjan province is very important due to its location in the northwest corridor. Increased vehicle speed as well as traffic volume increase have increased the number of accidents in the axes of Zanjan province. One of the solutions used in these areas was the use of speed control cameras in different axis of Zanjan province. The axes of the old Zanjan-Bijar road, the old Zanjan-Karmedar road, the Zanjan-Madan road, the Zanjan-Qazvin freeway, and the Zanjan-Qazvin freeway were evaluated. In this research, the pre and post study method was used. The above method is one of the suitable methods among other methods for evaluating speed control cameras. To do the calculations, three models of the pre and post study methods included simple model, traffic volume correction model and comparison model according to the type and structure of the models is used by Excel. For the Bey model, based on its theory, the weight composition of the number of accidents counted for the target group and the estimation of the characteristics affecting safety by constructing the model is from reference group. The first step is to estimate the crashes using the information model build from the reference group. SPSS software has been used for estimation of the process of data preparation during the process of making the model and estimating the effective features. Its composition and accidents are observed and the annual coefficient of the effectiveness of the action is examined. Comparing the results of the axes that have a positive effect on reducing the number of accidents, with the assessments of other countries, shows the positive impact of this measure in Iran.
