Among the most widely used devices in microwave systems, Power components and dividers are becoming more and more used in the microwave industry, including high frequency circuits, microwave systems, array antenna systems, power amplifiers, etc. And they are generally divided into two categories: waveguide (non-planar) and planar.
With the advancement of technology and the increasing complexity and frequency in the design of microwave circuits, the design of multithreaded power dividers in the form of multilayer plates in order to have the ability to integrate with MMIC circuits has been considered. The multi-layered nature of devices such as the power divider is due both to their reduced size and to the multi-layered design of other parts of the circuit with which these devices must be integrated.
Power dividers that are used in high frequency and in the wavelength range, due to their small size, are subject to limitations such as accuracy and possibility of construction, etc., and considering that there was no need to work in these frequencies before, There are not many designing in this field. Therefore, in this research, after stating the concepts, we first try to examine the divider of multilayer or multilayer capabilities (and preferably millimeter wave). Next, we divide the target (power divider 1 to 6) into two parts, the power divider 1 to 2 and the power divider 1 to 3, and after finalizing both parts, we connect them. In the first part (1: 2 power divider design), after reviewing and analyzing three proposals that include waveguide excitation in the main mode and in the second mode, the structure of a 1: 2 power divider with a phase difference of 180 degrees in the outputs is presented and finalized. In the second part, a 1: 3 power divider is designed, simulated and presented to complete the final design.
The proposed structure, considering the use of this divider as an array antenna power supply, using the multilayer technique, in a less space than other power dividers with this application, provides a power divider with 6 outputs that is suitable for power supply. Antenna arrays and can be integrated with them. It can also be used in RF circuits.
