Daylight has always been known as one of the most important pillars of architecture, especially sustainable architecture, However, among the articles published in the field of daylight, most studies have been done in office applications or on a small scale (single room). Also, due to the growing population, high-rise construction has increased, especially in large cities such as Tehran. Therefore, daylight monitoring in high-rise residential buildings will be important. The purpose of this study is to provide a framework to find the position, form and direction in the first steps of design that the building has favorable conditions in terms of daylight. providing adequate and desirable daylight in residential units not only helps to save energy, but also will improve the quality of spaces in residential units and create suitable living conditions for residents.
There are different indicators and standards for evaluating daylight. In this study, the spatial Daylight Autonomy and annual sunlight exposure, which are among the dynamic indicators, and in the LEED standard, they are used to measure the visual comfort of daylight. Has been evaluated.
In this study, to evaluate daylight, the spatial Daylight Autonomy and annual sunlight exposure, which are among the dynamic indicators and in the lead standard, have been used to measure the visual comfort of daylight, have been evaluated. Study is Using quantitative research method, based on computer simulation and using parametric modeling, the research examines forms that all have a fixed number of smaller volumetric cells but differ in the arrangement, and finally using The genetic algorithm via the Octapus plug-in in Gresshapper software provide optimal answers regarding position, form, and direction, and provide a framework that designers can use in the early stages of their design. Optimization was performed in 52 generations to a population of 100, and 16 forms were tabulated from all the options obtained that had more spatial daylight autonomy (above 75%) and less annual sun exposure. According to the results of the research, in the field of visual comfort of daylight, the shape and geometry of the building play a very important role in sDA and aSE indices and is much more important than the variables of the general direction and position of the building. Also, in order to choose from 16 optimal forms, it is necessary for the designer to consider other parameters such as vision, form elongation in terms of visual comfort and energy in the design climate, etc., so that he can choose from the appropriate forms in The field of visual comfort produced, make a comprehensive selection.
