Given the environmental and economic crises of the past few decades around the world, We are witnessing the formation of immigrants to cities and the formation of low-income communities. Most of these migrants are in poor financial and economic conditions that need to be addressed in a planned manner in their settlements and housing estates. In this regard, the present study deals with how to design these complexes with increasing social interactions between them. Given that these immigrants are of different ethnicities and races, Attention to creating social cohesion and increasing social interactions between them is prominent, This has been less considered in previous studies. In this regard, Parand city was studied as an example, and using a conceptual model of research that was extracted from the literature, Structured questionnaires were used to determine how citizens perceived their current situation. Then, using statistical analysis and structural equation modeling, quantitative research findings were obtained and conclusions were made based on them. The results showed that the most critical path that puts the minds of Parandi citizens in front of social interactions in residential complexes starts from environmental factors. In fact, the environmental conditions around these complexes have caused a decrease in social vitality. This will affect the security and social interactions of the citizens in the next degrees, resulting in the reduction of social interactions in these areas. Therefore, it can be said that the spaces around the buildings and the structure of the neighboring units, which also include the layout of the land use, have been among the obstacles in the way of creating social interactions in the residential complexes of Parand city.
