پژوهش حاضر با هدف بررسي پرتكرارترين افعال واژگاني،20 مورداز پرتكرارترين افعال چند كلمه اي و تركيبي مورد استفاده در مقالات دانش آموزان دبيرستاني ايراني و بومي انگليسي زبان و بررسي اينكه آيا تفاوت آماري معني داري در استفاده از افعال چند كلمه اي و تركيبي بين دو گروه در اين مقالات وجود دارد انجام شده است. براي اين منظور دو مجموعه از مقالات مجلات جمع آوري شده از دانش آموزان نوجوان ايراني و بومي انگليسي زبان به ترتيب با حجم 48890 و 344000 ايجاد شد. به دانش‌آموزان ايراني فيلم آموزشي و برگه تكليف تعدادي موضوع مقاله ارائه داده شد.مجموعه مقالات جمع‌آوري‌شده توسط Word Cluster و Concordance Tool نرم‌افزار AntConc مورد تجزيه و تحليل قرار گرفتند و داده ها براي تحليل توصيفي در برنامه اكسل به دليل كاربردي بودن برنامه وارد شدند. آزمون كاي اسكوئر بر روي داده‌ها تفاوت معني‌داري را در استفاده از افعال چند كلمه‌اي بين دانش‌آموزان نوجوان ايراني و بومي در نوشتن مقالات مجلات نشان نداد، اما تفاوت معني‌داري را در استفاده از تركيب افعال در ژانر هدف بين دو گروه نشان داد. يافته هاي اين پژوهش مي تواند به مولفان، طراحان تمرين، معلمان و محققان بينشي در مورد فراواني و نوع ساختارهاي چند كلمه اي استفاده شده توسط زبان آموزان ايراني مورد استفاده قرار گيرد و احتمالاً به زبان آموزان كمك مي كند تا انتقال منفي از زبان مادري خود به زبان انگليسي را به حداقل برسانند.

A Comparative Corpus-Applied Study on the Use of Multiword structure (Phrasal Verbs, Prepositional Verbs, and Verb Collocations) in Iranian EFL Learners’ and Native Students’ Magazine Articles

The current study aimed to explore the most frequent lexical verbs, the first 20 frequent multi-word verbs and verb collocations used in Iranian and native high-school students’ magazine articles, and investigate if there was any statistically significant difference in the use of multi-word verbs and verb collocations between the two groups. To this end, two corpora were created of the magazine articles collected from Iranian and Native teenage students with the size of 48890 and 344000 respectively. Iranian students were instructed with an educational video and task sheet on article writing and provided with a number of topics for writing. The collected corpora were analyzed by Word Clusters and Concordance Tool of AntConc software, and the derived frequencies were imported into Microsoft Excel for descriptive analysis due to practicality. Chi-square test employed on the data yielded no significant difference in the use of multiword verbs between Iranian and native teenage students in writing magazine articles, but revealed a significant difference in the use of verb collocations in the target genre between the two groups. The findings of this study could be used by materials developers, task designers, teachers and researchers to gain an insight into the frequency and type of multiword structures used by Iranian L2 learners, and would probably help leaners minimize the negative transfer from their L1 into English.
