Abstract:
One of the most important issues in architecture is the use of up-to-date knowledge based on new construction technologies to facilitate, accelerate and reduce construction costs. On the other hand, with the growing population of the world, increasing the use of renewable or artificial materials to protect valuable natural resources seems necessary. Composites are one of the suitable materials and useful alternatives to these unstable natural resources. One of the most important applications of these materials and composite systems is their use in the facade of various buildings. As you know, the facades of buildings, in addition to environmental beauty, have a very effective role in protecting the interior and preventing the penetration of external factors such as dust, weather, insects and etc. Also, the insulation application and prevention of waste and optimal energy consumption are other tasks of building facades. One of the most important goals of this research is to introduce a new system with a composite approach, which in addition to benefiting from the numerous advantages of composite materials, can also provide a solution to deal with their disadvantages. In such a way as to reduce the problems of using non-renewable materials and energy waste as much as possible.
In addition to the material field, the design of facade elements is also effective in achieving project approaches. The dual shell of the facade reduces the peak of wind pressure, increases the use of solar heat in winter, reduces heat loss in winter, and reduces total solar heat in summer, uses natural ventilation, improves energy efficiency of the facade, prevents external noise inside and make good use of light during the day. Also, the two-shell facade from an economic point of view requires more initial investment, but in fact, the two-shell facades are economical in the long term.
Parametric and modular design are also environmentally, economically and aesthetically aligned with our research approach. Of course, modular design must be done on a scale of parts.
In designing the modular part of the facade, we will use the ability to open and close the parts; One of the main reasons for using flexible systems is the ability to adapt to environmental conditions in order to maintain and reduce energy consumption، increase in the general comfort of the system users and the increase in the overall spatial efficiency of static buildings.
In the field of studies and analysis, descriptive-analytical research method is used. Of course, in some parts of it, deductive research method will be used to compare modern composite materials with traditional materials. The information will be collected through libraries, internet searches or field visits from projects related to composite materials.
