Residents of the city are exposed to high levels of stressors and this can lead to the prevalence of stress-related mental illnesses in them. However, considering the importance of mental health and urban stress, few studies have addressed the potential links between built environment, mental health and stress. This issue is multiplied in developing countries, especially Tehran, which is known as the sixth most stressful city in the world. Therefore, this study aimed to develop urban planning of stress therapist in district 8 of district 1 of Tehran municipality. The research method in this research is descriptive-explanatory and for data collection, observation, interview, library studies and questionnaires and for analyzing information, content analysis, Delphi method and comparison of averages, factor analysis and regression analysis have been used. The findings indicate that factors of social differentiation and isolation, lack of security, neighborhood quality, access to places to strengthen mental health, ability to satisfy and cope with emotions, control and prediction of environment, existence of open and green spaces, high ordering, social deprivation, stressful urban design, social status of residents, resilience, access to centers and services, facing and substance abuse, spatial diversity, deprivation, social and economic status, urban health, ethnic minority, It is important and can explain 66.8% of urban stress, respectively. Consequently, most urban stress in this environment is due to these factors and strategic planning considering these factors can greatly reduce urban stress in this environment.
