Bridges are one of the most important elements of the transportation network and infrastructure of any country and play a significant role in fast and safe access during service and relief after an earthquake, Therefore, it is very important to investigate the manner and amount of damage to bridges under service loads and earthquake loads. On the other hand, due to the uncertainty in the design parameters of the bridge, it is not possible to achieve a completely safe design for the construction of the bridge structure, and the design of bridges is always accompanied by a certain probability of failure. Calculating the probability of failure of the bridge structure is one of the important points in the design of this structure.
Bridge engineers design using design methods based on reliability to provide a design that is economically viable and can meet the design constraints and conditions well. In design methods based on reliability, the uncertainty of design parameters is considered. This makes the resulting design, in addition to adequate safety, also economical.
In the leading research, software for calculating the reliability index of bridges has been developed and presented in three methods: FOSM, FORM and Monte Carlo analysis in accordance with bridges in Iran. In the process of conducting this research, in order to calculate the reliability index of bridges, by examining different failure indices by hierarchical analysis method, Powell and Abadi failure indices were selected as the limit state function. Fault indices are defined as parameters that make it possible to determine different levels of failure in structures under cyclic and seismic loads in a quantitative manner.
Due to the expansion of the Internet space of this software, it is written under the web so that the user can easily and without the need to install software and by determining a few simple parameters to quickly view the results of calculating the reliability index for the desired bridge. In the end, the accuracy of the calculated results was confirmed by RT software.
