Two important aspects to consider in the subject of daylight in educational spaces are the effect of daylight on the mental health and performance of students and the effect of using daylight on reducing energy consumption in educational buildings. Therefore, Daylight's approach was chosen in the design of the elementary school in ilam city, and it seemed that it was possible to have an optimal design in this case. The most important question in this regard is the main pillars and also how to use Daylight inside the educational spaces. With this work, we will reach the education and increase the awareness of students in connection with sustainable buildings and the environment in elementary ages as the main pillar, and for this purpose, knowledge and use of the most common means of daylight transfer and appropriate design of spaces were considered. According to the above, studies were conducted in six seasons. In the first chapter, the impact and necessity of the presence and use of daylight in educational environments on people's health and reducing energy consumption are mentioned as two important issues. By determining the main goals, after the cultural, geographical and climatic studies of ilam city, the proposed design of the girls' primary school with the aim of achieving a suitable daylight in a comparative manner using Design Builder simulation software and considering indicators of daylight such as UDI - SDA and its compliance with the standard of subject 19 of the national regulations of Iran were checked. In the second chapter, the study of terminology and previous studies regarding the subject of the research was discussed. In the third chapter, several design examples related to the research subject were studied both inside the country and in the world (of course, in similar climates in terms of latitude and altitude above sea level, morphology, etc). In the fourth chapter, firstly, the geographical and climatic location was examined, and then, using the epw information obtained from the country's meteorological organization, the weather conditions of the city were studied and solutions based on the region's climate were introduced. In the fifth chapter, the location of the project site and its physical and climatic characteristics were presented. In the sixth chapter, the required spaces in educational spaces, which include closed and open spaces and their sub-categories, were described. Also, design standards and patterns specific to each space and physical program were presented. In the design of the girls' primary school, it was tried to pay attention to the characteristics of the climatic design in ilam city, such as the orientation of the building, the use of materials with high thermal capacity, the use of canopy (so as not to block the sun's rays in the cold winter months) and... to be observed Also, the principles of school design, including standards and per capita, the principles of green building architecture design, including appropriate location of the site, compliance with the considerations of topic 19 of the national building regulations, optimal use of daylight, use of computer simulation, design of green spaces appropriate to the climate and The use of native vegetation and..., as well as energy consumption management, including the use of renewable energy (solar and wind energy), water and waste water consumption management, resource management, materials and waste management, etc., are applied in the desired design. became In the end, after completing the thesis, it can be said that the objectives of the research, such as the use of daylight in most spaces, according to the climate of ilam city and the characteristics of the site, were achieved and the questions were answered.
