Abstract:
One of the most important concerns of city planners is to pay attention to issues such as the concept of residence, social interactions and culture, which has resulted in a wide range of ideas of different thinkers, deepening thoughts, views and worldviews in terms and concepts related to these issues. The difference in looking at these topics according to the background characteristics has created civilizations. Also, the development of Islamic-Iranian urban planning concepts over time and its crystallization in cities has shaped our territorial identity, and the proposed concepts are not only in conflict with each other, but by adapting to human and social concepts, they have a fundamental and positive effect on cohesion. It has had physical-spatial integration and social structures of cities. The mosque, taken from the Islamic worldview, is one of the main and identity-giving elements in the urban space. The explanation of the influencing factors on the role of the mosque in the coherence of the physical-spatial structure of urban neighborhoods is the main subject of this research. In order to explain the influencing factors, criteria and indicators taken from the opinions of thinkers have been prioritized using the consensus of experts and these indicators have been researched in Dezful, a city affected by urbanization developments with three old, middle and new contexts. From each type of context, a selected area and mosques and their surrounding areas have been subjected to field studies in successive sequences. After the field observations, the results obtained using the SWAT technique have been analyzed separately and the indicators have been scored. The graph of the total coherence level is determined and obtained based on the rating table of the indicators in the selected areas; Also, the score chart of the index of all three contexts and specified categories of mosques in each area has been drawn and compared with the overall cohesion chart. The results obtained from the comparison of the diagrams have shown that the designed parts of the new fabric, which were formed based on imitation teachings of the old fabric, did not have a high level of coherence, despite being interconnected in their surrounding area. On the other hand, the undesigned domains in the new context, despite the lack of criteria and indicators of identity, have obtained the highest score of coherence. The result is that with the synergy of the six criteria, readability, perception of the situation, mental-cultural landscape, presence with visual permeability and location have the greatest impact on the role of the mosque in the cohesion of the surrounding areas. This synergy will provide the basis for creating social events in an integrated and coherent body. As a result, with the manifestation of hidden values in the body of the mosque and its existential capacity at different levels of the city, we can expect a more readable mental system structure and a coherent neighborhood spatial structure.
