One of the factors that has a significant impact on the machining process is cutting forces. Measuring and calculating cutting forces is essential for selecting tools, machining equipment, etc. Dynamometers are usually used to measure machining forces. A dynamometer is a device that measures force, torque and power and has different types. Considering that access to this tool is difficult and also the price It is high and it is among the sanctioned parts, so it is necessary to design and build a series of equipment to measure force. In the first place, a device was designed and built that can measure the forces of the drilling process, which is one of the most important machining processes. Machining forces in this process include axial force and torque. For this purpose, a measuring device was designed and built to be able to monitor these two elements simultaneously and continuously. This device consists of parts such as dynamometers, main and moving plates, sliding and rolling bearings, three systems and electronic equipments such as transmitters and ... Composed. The initial design of this tool was done by Solidwork software, and after reviewing the plan and validating it in several stages, its implementation plans were prepared and the construction process began. A variety of machining methods such as turning, milling, laser cutting, grinding, plating, etc. were used for construction. During the construction process, the model was modified several times and the parts were reviewed for technical reasons. Finally, the assembled parts and the electronic and software parts were installed and tested, and calibration was done in order to confirm with different methods. In this project, cutting force measurement equipment, including axial force and torsional torque in the drilling process, which is inserted into the work piece by the tool or vice versa, is designed and built as a new idea. One of the important features of this measuring device compared to previous models is the simultaneous and independent measurement of axial force and torque. Also, the information output from this device is monitored online and continuously. The software prepared for this work has the ability to draw the time-force diagram continuously, and with this ability, good results can be obtained from the machining process.
