Objective(s): Inadequate rehabilitation of the patient to manage daily affairs and insufficient support after discharge causes the disease to return and even worsen. The purpose of this research is to identify and eva‎luate flexible factors effective in accelerating the treatment process for a psychiatric hospital in order to accelerate the treatment, rehabilitation and preparation of the patient to return to normal life after discharge. Methods: In the descriptive-analytical method of research, the components of flexibility and acceleration of the treatment process were collected using library tools. In the first stage of the survey method, interviews with experts were used, and in the second stage, a questionnaire tool was used. Then the data were ranked by Friedman and Shannon test. Results: According to the results, the most effective flexibility components in speeding up the treatment process include: group activities, correct positioning of corridors in relation to the rooms, the existence of a central room, the possibility of changing the use of spaces, a flexible ceiling for the room, control of the environmental conditions of the room by the patient, rest zones, family and the kitchen in the room and separating the fixed components of the building from the internal walls. Conclusion: Considering space for group activities increases interactions, sense of belonging, reduces negative mental pressure and creates positive distraction in the patient. As a result, a flexible inpatient room model with family space, rest and kitchen, with movable walls and folding furniture is proposed to make changes by the patient, which, in addition to responding to 6 factors to accelerate recovery, prepares the person for independent life and participation in society later. He is discharged. It also has the ability to become a space for group activities.
