Among the building components, the structure takes an important part of the environmental and economic life cycle of the building due to the high volume of cement consumption. Reinforced structures account for a large percentage of the country's industry, in addition to many parameters such as grade, concrete strength, percentage, steel, type of use, aggregate, type of use in concrete, workshop quality control conditions, slump. In reinforced concrete structures, there is concrete, etc., which strongly affects the environmental and economic effects of reinforced concrete structures. The aim of this research is to create a tool that helps designers in choosing the optimal structural design for the environment. For this purpose, firstly, in this study, the basics of sustainable development and also sustainable development in the construction industry are reviewed. Next, green concrete and sustainable concrete will be reviewed as one of the main components of the construction industry. In the next step, the methods of checking the life cycle of reinforced concrete structures and estimating the amount of environmental pollutants of reinforced concrete structures will be presented. In the following, in order to cover all types of concrete in terms of strength and type of constituent materials, the methods of concrete mixing plan, especially the national method of concrete mix plan of Iran, will be investigated. In the next step, the method of designing reinforced concrete sections and the design limitations of sections according to the ninth topic of the national regulations will be examined. Finally, by combining the results of the previous three parts, ETDS software was created, which is able to design reinforced concrete sections for a desired load and choose the most optimal environmental section among the sections. The above software is able to provide the mixing plan, it can determine the environmental effects for one cubic meter of concrete with specific initial conditions and desired resistance, it also provides the possibility of cross-section design and the possibility of choosing the optimal environmental structural design. By means of the above software, it is possible to determine the effect of changing various parameters such as cross-section dimensions, percentage of reinforcement, concrete strength, type of cement, type of additives, type of aggregate, etc. on environmental effects and cross-section strength.
