Historical centers and the old core of Iranian cities have undergone fundamental changes in the structural system since the 1930s, which have affected their identity and social, cultural, economic, and physical characteristics and caused fundamental changes in the quality of life. While this platform can point out a golden opportunity to increase social participation as cultural, recreational and commercial places. In the meantime, it is intended to provide quality places in the historical context that are sustainable in all aspects. Therefore, Placemaking with the aim of recreating the historical context leads to vitality, security of mind, interactivity, activity and eye-catching scenery. Designing a place in the context by creating an organizing structure causes people-place links and increases spatial attachment, causes participation in the context, and plays the role of an analyst and facilitator in recreating the historical context.
This thesis seeks to present a model of effective indicators in Placemaking of participation based on the purpose of using in the reconstruction plans of the historical context. For this purpose, after carrying out library studies in the two areas of historical context reconstruction and Placemaking participation in historical context, as well as comparative studies of domestic and foreign successful experiences and introducing the optimal process of historical context reconstruction in Iran, the codes were identified and by analyzing the content of the sources , indicators of the reproduction of participation based on the historical context, which were extracted from theoretical studies in the field of Placemaking and participation; It was put in correspondence and after refining, categorizing and merging, it reached 9 final indicators of Placemaking of the base participation in the recreation of the historical context. Then, using a cross-sectional survey in the historical context of Oudlajan Bazarche, Tehran, as a qualified and recreated example, in the form of systematic expert observations, as well as obtaining the opinions of experts with experience in the context and local people through a questionnaire, he came to the conclusion that Placemaking in historical buildings is valuable. and the public spaces of the context and historical axes, by strengthening the historical place and "creating a place with historical identity" combined with "pedestrian orientation" causes "socialization" and "ideal mental image" which actually strengthens "people-place links" and By creating "safety of mind", "interactivity", "activability" and "eye-catching view" it creates, it increases the desire to be present and stay in the space. Place making is a process called creating the quality of places and the quality of a place means an attractive combination of vitality and attractiveness; That is, the space becomes an attractive place to spend leisure time. This causes an increase in "place attachment" which according to the theories confirmed in the second chapter, place attachment promotes the sense of "participation" and social participation will lead to the goals of "recreation of the historical context"; And in fact, if the re-creation in the historical context is to be successful, it must enter into "Placemaking in the historical context" and this cycle continues for the benefit of the historical context and its communities.
The theoretical model resulting from this set of factors shows that "Placemaking of historical context" by promoting "people-place links" increases "place attachment" and as a result "participation" in "recreation of historical contexts". Placemaking of historical context also includes creating a place with identity, sociability, favorable mental image and walkability. And this cycle causes the usefulness of texture, security of mind, interactivity, activity and eye-catching scenery.
