Choosing the location of the hospital plays a vital role in the construction and management of the hospital. From the point of view of the government, choosing the right location of the hospital will help to optimally allocate medical resources, match the provision of health services with social and economic needs, coordinate the development of urban and rural health care services, and reduce social conflicts. Choosing a new hospital location is a serious decision for many city planners and policy makers. Moreover, the process is inherently complex and time-consuming. Decision makers must eva‎luate and choose options according to many quantitative and qualitative criteria under conditions of uncertainty. Therefore, choosing the location of the hospital construction can be considered as a multi-criteria decision making problem (MCDM) because it includes issues related to different fields and several stakeholders have an influence on it. Choosing the optimal location of the hospital depends on various criteria. These criteria are heterogeneous in nature and we need to provide an efficient framework to eva‎luate them and their impact on each other. In this thesis, a framework using MCDM methods for weighting hospital selection criteria and ranking different situations for hospital location is presented. Also, an index for eva‎luating different locations of the hospital based on the AHP method is presented.
