Nowadays, due to the complexity of construction projects and also the attention of the construction industry to sustainable buildings, Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology is used in many advanced countries of the world in order to increase accuracy and speed and avoid rework and not bear the costs of rework in the construction cycle of a building, including feasibility, design, construction, operation and even demolition of all kinds of buildings. This technology can be used in different phases of a project.
One of the most important functions of BIM technology in the design and construction phase can be considered to be the identification of clashes and their reporting, and the purpose of this thesis is to classify and prioritize the hard clashes of the two disciplines of structures and MEP. For this purpose, the considered weight must be assigned to the elements of the structure and MEP , which is done by the best-worst method (BWM). This weighting is obtained through questions and answers from nine experts in the field of building information modeling. Unlike the weighting of structural elements, the weighting of MEP elements is based on two parameters, cost and time. With the help of the weightings and the outputs of Navisworks software, the process of prioritizing the clashes and the methods of removal the clashes is done. Among the structural elements, each of the beam and column elements separately have thirty two percent, foundation nineteen percent, side bracing systems thirteen percent and structural floor four percent of the weight. The weighting of the MEP (cost) Respectively is thirty nine percent for group five, twenty two percent for group two, fifteen percent for group six, eleven percent for group three, nine percent for group four, and four percent for group one also, the weighting of the elements of MEP (time) is thirty nine percent for group five, twenty percent for group six, fourteen percent for each item from group two and three, eight percent for group four, and five percent for group one. It should be noted that due to the many elements of the MEP, they are grouped, and their grouping can be seen in the thesis.
