The rapid growth of population, expansion of urbanization dimensions, worsening housing shortage and crisis due to the increase in housing prices in the city and the increase in demand for housing construction in the outskirts of the city are among the problems that these countries are dealing with and it is necessary to provide all facilities use their resources, including the private, public and self-help sectors of the people. In addition to the mentioned cases, the continued pressure on rural communities and their continued migration to the city also fuels the expansion of urbanization and the resulting problems. Therefore, this research seeks to provide solutions to formulate a suitable model for spatial configuration in the design of low-cost housing with the improvement of social conditions. For this purpose, the city of Hamadan, where various Mehr housing projects with different spatial arrangements have been implemented, was considered to select the best physical model from a social point of view by examining the built examples and from it to design complexes. New affordable housing can be used. Three affordable residential complexes including: Imam Khomeini (RA) with a block-shaped form, Omid Akbatan with a central courtyard form, and Andisheh with a linear form, which are located near each other and are close to each other in terms of height and occupation level, were selected. Also, the sense of privacy, sense of security, social interactions and sense of belonging were evaluated as the most important social components in this research. In this regard, in this research, the spatial syntax method was used (with specialized software for spatial syntax and a questionnaire from residents and hierarchical analysis with questions from the expert community.
