Abstract: The hospital is a well-equipped place with diverse and complex uses. According to its function, it is also called a hospital or hospital. The hospital is of special importance to the people because it is the place of reference at the most sensitive time of the condition of each person who needs treatment and care and who has suffered an accident. Treatment endures a lot of stress, which has a great impact on the patient's recovery process. The basic problem is that with all the efforts that psychologists, designers of medical centers and other related professionals have made in this direction, the desired result has not been achieved. Also, from the point of view of psychologists, a major part of this problem is the lack of a calm and favorable hospital environment for It is far from any tension and stress, which is related to the lack of privacy in the hospital This treatise has placed its main concern on achieving the principles and foundations of the architecture of inpatient wards to create a space with the desired privacy of the patient, to provide a tagami in line with the comfort and relaxation of the patient in the hospital, and also its findings can bring the inpatient space to the environment. To achieve the goal, due to the complexity of the subject, a mixed research method was chosen to solve the problem. At the beginning of Baroosh Delphi, with the opinion of experts in this field, suitable hospitals were categorized and selected as a study sample, then with exploratory inference method and at the same time descriptive survey method was used, using mixed, qualitative and quantitative methods, testing hypotheses and answering questions. It was done, then the matrix of opinions and preferences, the obtained preferences were weighted and then the layout and space syntax software was used in the direction of tangible physical results. In the findings of this thesis, the desired solitude for a hospitalized patient was completely different from the solitude defined for healthy people in work and residential spaces and other uses. The noises are disturbing and they feel safe from being monitored by the nursing care team and from being close to the nursing station, and for this reason, more than half of the patients hospitalized in single-bed rooms far from the nursing station are not under direct care and supervision. They did not feel satisfied and considered themselves lonely and isolated in terms of solitude. The final result of the desirable solitude of a hospitalized patient can be called a combination of the required privacy along with a sense of security, which can be called a balanced and relative desirable solitude. In this regard, what added more to the satisfaction of hospitalized patients was having inpatient services including a private bathroom and the flexibility and separation of the space according to the patient's preferences, age, and condition in terms of illness Keywords: architectural space, inpatient ward, hospital, patient solitude
