In the topics of architecture and urban planning, since the purpose and goal of the design process is to satisfy the users of space in order to meet human needs, satisfying the users in this process can imply a more correct fulfillment of needs and, as a result, a more optimal and lasting use of space; Therefore, what has been considered in this research is the examination of children's satisfaction as a part of the users, regarding the relationship with water in urban landscapes along the river.These spaces occupy a major part of people's time and daily environment, including children, and for this reason, upgrading and enriching these spaces can help in revitalizing the river and revitalizing animal life related to it, personal growth, social interactions, improving physical and mental health. , strengthen the sense of creativity and even educate citizens and children to be effective. Considering the special characteristics of children's growth, health and safety, a part of the function of urban open spaces, including parks, is always assigned to children. In recent centuries, the occurrence of environmental crises and the lack of connection between man and nature has caused a psychological crisis for contemporary humans, especially children.Waterfronts are the place of interaction between urban developments and water, revitalization of the riverbanks has helped to develop and improve the quality of the city and caused the creation of spatial and functional connections between the riverbed and the movement and functional axes of the city, turning this border into a collective urban space responsive to the needs of citizens. Especially for children and the creation of green paths and axes for pedestrians and bicycles on the riverbed and riverbanks and the possibility of children's close contact with water. This research is practical and its purpose is to develop knowledge in the field of designing urban landscapes along rivers, in order to improve user satisfaction. The method of this research is combined (quantitative and qualitative) and descriptive and analytical strategies are used in it.A significant part of the data was collected by means of a survey and a case study, based on the review of the literature and documents related to the area of children's play space, riverside urban spaces and children's needs in particular. In the following, data collection was done with the help of questionnaire and drawing tools to get additional information and observation. Data extracted from library sources were analyzed by content analysis method and information and data related to questionnaire, interview, drawn pictures and observations were presented in descriptive method.
