In many cases, the most important factor influencing a person's satisfaction with living in the neighborhood, housing and environmental conditions. According to Le Corbusier, satisfying both the physical and mental needs of human beings with the spatial organization of appropriate housing is indicative of the general well-being of society. Poor housing leads to harmful consequences such as disease, deprivation, destruction and corruption of the youth of the communities. Economic factors, architectural style, indigenous language of the region, stylistic tendencies, climate, geography and local customs and traditions are influential in the development and design of housing in different places. Social interactions The need and necessity to design spaces that pave the way for more people in the public arena is felt more. There is also a lack of semi-private open spaces that can meet the needs of residents of residential complexes. The present study begins with the question of how to create effective social housing in terms of a sense of belonging in a space of historical value. Jolfa neighborhood of Isfahan, considering that it is one of the old neighborhoods of Isfahan, needs to study this historical texture and native design for this texture, which requires integrated and participatory design. Using documentary and field surveys, different views of residents of five residential complexes in Isfahan were collected through a questionnaire in the field of elements affecting the sense of belonging and analyzed by SPSS software. The research method is a combination of descriptive survey and case study. The collection of library studies of this research includes the study of different types of open spaces and the characteristics of traditional houses and their effect on social interactions, as well as the elements of open spaces and examples. It is an internal and external case, etc. In addition to library studies, methods such as behavioral observations, note-taking, and photography are used. The results showed that the sense of belonging to the location of traditional houses is greater compared to new complexes.
