Flat feet, a common condition is the absence of a full or partial arch in the foot, can affect individuals of all ages and activity levels. It often leads to various problems, including foot pain, fatigue, imbalance, and premature shoe wear. Inappropriate footwear can further exacerbate the difficulties faced by individuals with flat feet. Properly designed sneakers with adequate arch support, cushioning, and stability can help alleviate pain and pressure, improve balance, enhance comfort, and protect the feet from injury . However, finding suitable sneakers for individuals with flat feet is challenging, as most are not specifically designed to meet their unique needs . This project aims to design a sneaker specifically tailored for individuals with flat feet, aiming to reduce foot pain and pressure, improve balance, and enhance their overall comfort. The project employs the "Double Diamond" methodology, comprising four phases: Exploration, Definition, Development, and Delivery. In the Exploration phase, interviews, questionnaires, observations, and anthropometric measurements are used to gather information on user needs and challenges. The Definition phase utilizes stakeholder diagrams, concept mapping, and mind mapping to refine the problem definition and generate potential solutions . The Development phase employs brainstorming, design for manufacturing, design for assembly, and modeling techniques to develop selected ideas . The Delivery phase utilizes prototyping, OPC charts, and usability testing to evaluate the final design . This research resulted in the design of three products: a foot bottom pattern, a shoe muscle mold, and a sneaker. Utilizing these products, particularly the sneakers, can significantly improve the quality of life for individuals with flat feet by reducing pain and discomfort, enhancing mobility, increasing physical activity levels, improving balance, and enhancing overall comfort .
