Fuzzy Risk Management in the Meat Products Supply Chain Considering Social an‎d Environmental Considerations (Case Study: Goshtiran Meat Products Company)

Risk management in the meat supply chain, taking into account social an‎d environmental considerations, is one of the crucial issues in the field of logistics an‎d supply chain. In this study, using the Fuzzy TOPSIS technique (FTOPSIS), the risks in the meat supply chain are identified an‎d assessed. The case study of this research is Goshtiran Company, which, as one of the key players in the Iranian meat products industry, faces numerous challenges in the field of risk management an‎d sustainable supply. In this study, first, the key risks related to the meat supply chain are identified an‎d then analyzed according to social, environmental an‎d economic criteria. The results show that factors such as supply an‎d deman‎d fluctuations, health an‎d safety problems, environmental challenges resulting from the production an‎d distribution of meat products, an‎d economic instability are considered to be the most important risks affecting this chain. Also, the research findings show that the use of fuzzy multi-criteria decision-making methods can help improve risk management processes an‎d increase supply chain resilience. Finally, suggestions are provided to reduce the negative effects of these risks by improving sustainable supply policies, using advanced technologies in meat product processing an‎d distribution, an‎d applying crisis management strategies. This research can help managers an‎d policymakers make optimal decisions to reduce the effects of risk an‎d increase the sustainability of the meat product supply chain.
