  • چكيده
    Abstract A mobile ad hoc network is a collection of mobile nodes that form a wireless network without the use of a fixed and pre-existed infrastructure or centralized administration. Every node acts as a host as well as a router. The topology of an ad hoc network changes frequently and unpredictably. The mobile nature and dynamic topology of MANETs make it very difficult to provide QoS assurance in such networks. Considering the limited bandwidth and battery power, finding routes that satisfy the bandwidth constraint of applications is a significant challenge. AODV is a robust on-demand routing protocol that only provides best-effort routes and does not provide QoS routing. In this thesis two models have been proposed to provide QoS and have been developed based on AODV. Proposed models find better path to provide QoS by considering effective reason on QoS. Routing is performed based on node’s buffer, speed, location and residual energy. The first model, BSP, does not have any overhead on the network and uses only local informations of node while the second one, prediction model, has a little overhead. However, it operates more precisely. Simulation results shows that the proposed models outperforms in terms of QoS metrics, particularly end to end delay which is reduce about 50% even in high network load and for high speed nodes.
