Feature selection is a critical aspect of optimizing machine learning models, as it entails identifying and selecting the most relevant features from high-dimensional datasets. By isolating these pertinent features, the performance of machine learning algorithms can be significantly enhanced. In this seminar, we delve into the realm of utilizing nature-inspired optimization algorithms to facilitate feature selection processes, aiming to elevate classification accuracy across various domains. Through a comprehensive exploration, we investigate the application of algorithms such as Genetic Algorithm, The Artificial Bee Colony, Emperor Penguins Colony, Crow Search Algorithm, and Marine Predators Algorithm in the context of feature selection. These algorithms draw inspiration from natural phenomena and exhibit promising potential in efficiently selecting optimal feature subsets from complex datasets. Furthermore, our seminar delves into the practical application of these nature-inspired optimization algorithms in real-world scenarios, focusing on domains such as disease diagnosis, spam detection, and intrusion detection. By analyzing the effectiveness of these algorithms in different contexts, we aim to provide valuable insights into their capabilities and limitations. Ultimately, our seminar aims to offer attendees practical strategies and methodologies for leveraging nature-inspired optimization algorithms to enhance feature selection processes and ultimately improve classification accuracy in diverse application domains.
