چکيده
The comprehensive review of Artificial Lift (AL) system applications in the conventional and
unconventional wells. A total case studies from various fields across the world are incorporated.
The total optimized fluid production increment ranged from 10% to 185% of the previous fluid
production before installation of ALs. While majority of the field projects have produced
successful results, there are still some test projects requiring further investigations.
a complete Field Analysis was performed, including a number of different wells to achieve
different target values of enhanced production, with the steps illustrated above. This lead to an
economically optimized production according to the subsurface conditions.
New technologies in artificial lift continue developing everyday and while due to costs they
might not be applicable to conventional and unconventional reservoirs, it is possible that in the
future those advantages and applications can be transfer to unconventional reservoirs as well to
reduce changeout costs, HSE risks and lost time on a live well.
What remains true is that artificial lift systems selection remains a challenging task, especially in
unconventional reservoirs where additional factors need to be considered before making a
selection on the optimum workflow for selection of the system.
