As IoT devices grow in number, they create challenges like network overload, delays, and energy waste. The report reviews lightweight communication protocols (like CoAP and MQTT), modern solutions such as edge computing and SDN, and highlights the role of machine learning for smarter, adaptive control. It concludes that future IoT systems need intelligent, energy-efficient, and scalable methods to ensure reliable performance.
