چکيده
The rapid growth of wireless technology has made it even harder to share spectrum, especially in the busy 2.4 GHz ISM band. One of the most important coexistence problems is how Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, two widely used technologies that work together to provide high-throughput networking and low-power connectivity, interact with each other. Because they work asynchronously, donʹt coordinate with other technologies, and share a spectral footprint, they cause a lot of interference that shows up as slower throughput, longer latency, and higher packet error rates. This seminar rigorously analyzes the mechanisms that facilitate such interference, utilizing analytical models, simulation studies, and empirical data. Performance evaluation focuses on essential parameters such as throughput, latency, jitter, and packet error rate, while also considering thresholds that, if exceeded, result in catastrophic performance failure. We look at both existing ways to reduce the problem, like Adaptive Frequency Hopping (AFH), Packet Traffic Arbitration (PTA), and power regulation, and new ways that use reinforcement learning and hybrid simulation–testbed validation. This course creates a full picture of the problems of cohabitation by putting together previous research and pointing out flaws in present methods. It also talks about possible future work, such as big empirical studies and AI-driven interference prediction. This makes coexistence research a key part of making wireless systems in IoT, Industry 4.0, and next-generation networks that are dependable and can be used by many people.
