چکيده
Abstract
Software-Defined Networking (SDN) has revolutionized the field by centralizing network intelligence and management. However, this architecture turns the controller, and especially its logging system, into a single point of failure and a vulnerable target for malicious attacks and data tampering. This weakness severely undermines the auditability and digital forensics capabilities that are critical for network security.
To overcome this challenge, this research presents a secure, distributed, and tamper-proof framework based on blockchain technology. The proposed architecture leverages a permissioned blockchain to achieve high performance and access control, and an off-chain storage model to ensure scalability. In this model, only the digital fingerprint (hash) of the logs is recorded on-chain, which, while guaranteeing the integrity and non-repudiation of the records, prevents the uncontrolled growth of the blockchainʹs size.
Ultimately, by creating a transparent and trustworthy audit trail, this framework significantly enhances the level of security, accountability, and reliability in software-defined networks, providing a practical solution to one of this architectureʹs most significant security challenges.
