چکيده
Dendritic fibrous nanosilicas (DFNS) (also known as KCC-1) are a novel class of medium-porosity silica nanomaterials that have attracted considerable interest in catalytic applications due to their unique dendritic fibrous structure, very high specific surface area, and improved accessibility to their internal surface (unlike conventional tubular structures such as MCM-41) [1,2] . By functionalizing the DFNS surface with suitable functional groups (such as amines) and then anchoring transition metal nanoparticles (such as palladium, gold, or copper) to it, highly efficient nanocatalysts can be designed for carbon-carbon coupling reactions, including the Suzuki reaction [2,3] . The dendritic fibrous structure of DFNS increases the number of catalytically active sites and improves the recyclability of the catalyst for use in the Suzuki [2].
