چکيده
Covalent Organic Frameworks (COFs) represent an emerging class of crystalline porous materials constructed through dynamic covalent chemistry, offering highly ordered architectures with tunable pore sizes, diverse topologies, and exceptional chemical versatility. This seminar provides an integrated overview of the fundamental concepts underlying COF design, including structural principles, linkage chemistry, and dimensionality, followed by a detailed examination of major synthetic strategies such as solvothermal, microwave-assisted, mechanochemical, and ionothermal pathways. A comprehensive literature review highlights recent advances in COF applications across energy storage, environmental remediation, catalysis, sensing, and biomedical systems, emphasizing structure–function relationships and performance benchmarks reported in recent studies. Despite significant progress, challenges related to long-term stability, large-scale production, and precise defect control remain central to ongoing research. Overall, this seminar synthesizes current knowledge and identifies key directions for future development of COFs as multifunctional platforms in advanced materials science
