چکيده
The increasing number of devices used in the Internet of Things (IoT) has led to the emergence of complex new networks of devices, gateways, and cloud services, all interacting with each other through continuous data exchange. Despite extensive research into device/application-level threats, little is known about potential network-level threats. These threats include, but are not limited to, man-in-the-middle (MITM) attacks, distributed denial-of-service (DDoS)/botnet attacks, and routing attacks (vulnerabilities and wormholes), all of which are capable of bypassing traditional endpoint protection and causing significant disruption.
This seminar will address network-level threats in the Internet of Things (IoT), establish a classification of attack vectors based on current research, and then create a common set of rules to mitigate them in an IoT environment, based on IoT constraints such as hardware computing, power, and dynamic topologies. In addition to reviewing what has already been identified, the research will also determine how to improve these mechanisms and provide practical methods for increasing the level of security and resilience in Internet of Things networks.
