چکيده
Blockchain technology has changed from being the backbone of cryptocurrencies to a gamechanging
way to manage data securely and without a central authority in fields including
finance, healthcare, and the Internet of Things (IoT). Its key features decentralization,
immutability, and transparency make it possible to trust distributed systems, but they also make
security problems more complicated and layered. This session critically examines blockchainʹs
function in IoT security, highlighting weaknesses at the protocol, network, and application
layers, along with the inadequacies of existing cryptographic methods against impending
quantum threats. It looks at various lightweight blockchain designs that are made to work with
the performance limits of IoT devices and weighs their pros and downsides in terms of
scalability, security, and decentralization. The research also looks at how to use privacypreserving
methods like zero-knowledge proofs and secure multi-party computation to balance
the need for transparency with the need to keep data private. It also looks at real-world uses in
areas like e-healthcare, supply chain management, and smart agriculture, showing how
blockchain can protect distributed ecosystems. The conversation ends with a list of open
research problems, such as post-quantum cryptography, interoperability, AI-based automatic
vulnerability discovery, and communication protocols that work across chains. This
presentation gives a full picture of what blockchain can do now and what it could do in the
future as the trust foundation for safe and scalable IoT networks by bringing together previous
studies and pointing out areas for further research.
